    Robin Rice is a Vengeance Angel. He's been alive exceptionally long for an angel of his type, because he had the guidance of a First angel name Romana. Robin acted as her personal assistant and doing so gave him a purpose, direction, and distraction for many decades of his life. After they made their move to Chicago, Robin fell in love with a fallen angel named Natasha who eventually died. He left Romana's side. During his absence, Romana went into battle, fell, and was killed there. It took Robin a long time to accept what had happened, and he met many people, most of whom annoyed him greatly.

    And then one day he met Rachel Dawes. Although he wouldn't admit it to himself at the time, he immediately connect to her. She was a wanderer. It was absurd to think that way, but by their second encounter, he wanted to kiss her. After Robin went overseas to find a cure, he returned on a regimen of drugs and therapy that was not very effective. The drugs took down his inhibitions enough that he eventually kissed Rachel. She walked away from him, but they kept running into one another. Robin could not say why, but after spending years with solid walls up, he was able to be vulnerable around Rachel. After an emotional event involving another vengeance angel, Jo, he was able to admit to Rachel what he is and soon he would tell her nearly everything else about him. For whatever reason, she loved him despite all of this, and he loves her completely, with all of his heart.

    They had their falling out after the plagues. Robin was finally able to attempt suicide, thinking the people he cared about were lost to him. His therapist did not want his investment dying and 'saved' him. Rachel told him that she couldn't save someone that didn't want to be saved. Robin gave himself over to be Wyatt's guinea pig. It was wise words from Alfred Pennyworth that made Robin realize the error of his ways. Love does not have to be deserved. It is.

    Robin returned to Rachel's side, asking forgiveness and promising to be open with her. For the first time in his life, he felt happy and he had hope. Their family took a trip to Paris after the best Christmas that Robin had ever had. Rachel fills his life with happiness and love, and he couldn't be more grateful for her presence in his life.

    Unfortunately, as all things are in Chicago, the story isn't over until someone dies.
